Jakarta, Beritasatu.com - PT Bima Tikhe Berkat and a Dutch importer have signed an agreement (MoU) on the sale of green beans from Indonesia. The coffee beans will be marketed to a number of countries in Europe to Turkey and Morocco. The company that manufactures the Pulau Coffee brand will send coffee beans from Sumatra, Java, and Toraja which are well known. CEO Bima Tikhe Berkat Verra Victoria in a written statement Thursday (21/4/2022) explained that the distribution cooperation with the Dutch importer made it easier for European and African communities, especially Morocco, to get the best varieties of coffee from Indonesia. “The distribution cooperation will be valid for the next three years. This can reach more countries, such as Turkey, which is the target this year and has met several coffee importers,” said Verra, who is also active as the Management and Trade Committee of the Indonesia Business Council for Qatar and Kuwait. Verra had time to do some light research on the supply of Indonesian coffee in Turkey, and that country could become a target market. In line with that, the coffee that will be marketed will also come from other regions in Indonesia which also have a high taste. “In Europe, only a few origins are known, such as Sumatra Mandheling and Sulawesi Kalosi. With this collaboration, it is hoped that coffee from other regions that also have a high taste image will get the same place to be introduced in Europe and its surroundings. So, Indonesian coffee can compete with coffee from Latin America and Africa,” said Verra. It is said, efforts to promote several varieties of coffee beans from various parts of Indonesia that are not yet known to the European community is a good opportunity. Moreover, the Indonesian government is supporting the export business of plantation products, especially coffee, which is one of the leading commodities. PT Bima Tikhe Berkat has a coffee supply that is dominated by the North Sumatra region and also works closely with coffee farmers in various regions in Indonesia. The company has also participated in various international exhibitions in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Several ready-to-drink products and packaged coffee beans have been available at Kemchick Pacific Place and Pantai Indah Kapuk 2 retailers, known as the Pulau Coffee brand since 2018. https://www.beritasatu.com/ekonomi/919119/pulau-coffee-tingkatkan-ekspor-ke-eropa-turki-dan-maroko
